Helping artisan leatherworkers achieve their potential
Cockpit Arts
The Leathersellers’ Foundation provides annual awards to help leatherworkers cover the cost of studio space at Cockpit Arts, a business incubator for craftspeople. The Foundation also supported the establishment and continued operation of ‘the leather hub’ at Cockpit Deptford, a space with essential communal leatherworking machines and support from experienced managers with their use.

As part of our support for the leather trade, the Leathersellers’ Company commissions new work primarily via leather craftspeople that we have supported in some way.
"Commissioning is such an important aspect to an artisan business and support from the Leathersellers has meant I’ve been able to develop skills, build connections and grow my business."
