Enabling individuals and communities
Working with charity partners across the UK, we aim to help improve the life chances of individuals and support communities to thrive.
Adverse Childhood Experiences
80% of our main charity grant funding will support charities to prevent and tackle the consequences of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
People who have experienced six or more ACEs have a life expectancy that is 20 years lower than that of the average population. Multiple ACEs prevent individuals from achieving their potential, in opposition to one of our core aims as a foundation.

Understanding ACEs
To mark our multi-year grant giving focus on Adverse Childhood Experiences we worked with a selection of our grantees to help explain what ACEs mean to them, their work, and the people they support.

Our annual Personal Giving Appeal is a way that individuals, including members and staff of the Leathersellers’ Company, can help support Foundation grantees and contribute towards a culture of compassion which began 600 years ago.
